Read this first: a recording made on a model outside the list is not approved. There is no point recording and hoping — the hour is lost. The list can be changed by Hub; confirm the current version inside your account before recording.
Supported iPhone models (iOS)
- iPhone 12 · 12 Mini · 12 Pro · 12 Pro Max
- iPhone 13 · 13 Mini · 13 Pro · 13 Pro Max

- iPhone 17 line — except the 17e
iPhone 11, XR, X and older do not qualify. The "e" models (16e and 17e) are out too, recent as they are — the most common mistake among people who assume a new phone is enough.

- Galaxy S22 · S22+ · S22 Ultra
- Galaxy S23 · S23+ · S23 Ultra

Only the S line. The A line (A54, A55), the M line and the Z line (Fold and Flip) are not on the list, regardless of price or year.
Supported Google Pixel models (Android)
- Pixel 6 · 6 Pro
- Pixel 7 · 7 Pro
- Pixel 8 · 8 Pro
- Pixel 9 · 9 Pro
The "a" versions (6a, 7a, 8a) are not on the official list.
My phone is not on the list. Now what?
- Borrow a device. The account is yours, but nothing stops you recording with a supported phone belonging to someone in your household.
- Earn through referrals. The referral program pays about $0.50 per approved hour from your invites and about $0.25 per hour at level 2 — and it does not require a supported phone.
- Wait. The list has been expanded before. Worth checking inside the portal from time to time.
What does not work: recording on an unlisted model and hoping it slips through. The review blocks it.
Why the list is so short
It is not brand marketing. The app needs access to data only some devices expose consistently: a wide-angle camera at 0.5 zoom, motion sensors synchronised with the video, and stable 1080p capture for up to 30 minutes without overheating. Mid-range models deliver good-looking video, but not the telemetry robot training requires.
Recording requirements on the device
| Item | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Format | Horizontal, 1080p |
| Length | Up to 30 minutes per recording |
| Zoom | 0.5 (wide angle) |
| Position | Eye level, on a head strap |
| Hands | Both visible in frame |
| Audio | Ambient, on |
Leave free storage on the device: half an hour at 1080p takes several gigabytes before upload. And record above 50% battery — a recording cut off mid-task is not approved.

Creating an account is free and the Starter Kit with the head strap costs nothing. Check first whether your phone is on the supported list.

Frequently asked questions
Which phones work with the Minute Data app?
iPhone 12 and newer (except the 16e and 17e models), Samsung Galaxy S21 to S24 and Google Pixel 6 to 9. Models outside that list do not get recordings approved.
Does the Galaxy A54 work with Minute Data?
No. Only the Galaxy S line is on the supported list — the A, M and Z lines are not accepted.
Can I record with an iPhone 11?
No. The oldest accepted model is the iPhone 12. iPhone 11, XR, X and earlier are not supported.
Can I use someone else’s phone?
Yes, as long as the model is on the supported list. The account and identity verification still have to be yours.
